ITINERARY

Day 1: Louisville: On arrival into Louisville you will make your way to your hotel for check in. A transfer can be arranged for you at an additional cost. Tonight you get to meet your tour director and explore downtown Louisville.

Day 2: Louisville. This morning you can visit the downtown urban distilleries of EVAN WILLIAMS and OLD FORRESTER . Both are within an easy walk of your hotel and entrance is included. The afternoon will be BBQ experience .

Day 3: Louisville . Today we head to the heart of Bourbon country. We start with a visit and tasting tour at BUFFALO TRACE DISTILLERY and then move onto WOODFORD RESERVE for another tasting. Finally our last stop is at a real Aussie favourite, WILD TURKEY, for our final tour and tasting. On the way back we have another amazing BBQ stop at MOMMA’S MUSTARD , PICKLES & BBQ . Here you will taste some incredible dry rub wings that are to die for and have a chance to go behind the scenes see how it’s all done

Day 4: Louisville A full day of leisure to explore the sights of Louisville. Perhaps you can visit the famous Louisville Slugger Factory where some of the world’s best baseball bats are made or if your bourbon mode still you can check out the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse in the Fourth Street Live precinct. Alternatively it might be shopping time and you can head to nearby Shelbyville factory outlet shopping mall. Finally, for the punters, a chance to visit Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby

Day 5: Louisville to Nashville. We say goodbye to Louisville and drive south to the buzzing city of Nashville but not before a full bourbon flavoured day. En-route we stop off at the one of a number of you will have been waiting for, the JIM BEAM AMERICAN STILLHOUSE, for a visit and tasting tour. Here you can bottle your very own Knob Creek bottle of bourbon, seal it with a fingerprint and take it home. If this was not enough, we also stop off at FOUR ROSES Warehouse and Bottling facility for a tasting and end the day with a visit and tasting at the beautiful distillery and grounds of MAKERS MARK.

Day 6: Nashville. A more restful day after yesterday and a chance to wander through the streets of Nashville. Included is entry to the Country Music Hall of Fame, well worth the visit. In the afternoon we head to Nelson’s Greenbrier Distillery for a tasting tour before heading downtown for dinner at MARTIN’S BBQ for whole hog BBQ at it’s best. From here it’s a short stroll to Broadway to enjoy the lights and sounds of Downtown Nashville.

Day 7: Nashville It’s association with country music has made the name Nashville world famous but it’s not just music fans who will find this charming southern city a delight. You have a free day today to explore. Perhaps visit Studio B, Nashville’s oldest recording studio or if you in the mood for some BBQ then it’s a must to go to Peg Leg Porker in the Gulch area. Alternatively it might be some fried chicken, and none are better than Hattie B’s. An institution in Nashville and worth queuing for. Tonight we head out to a secret location where you receive some open fire cooking tips as well taste some great food with OVERTHEFIRECOOKING.

Day 8: Nashville . We head off to visit yet another world-famous distillery. This time it’s for some Tennessee whiskey at the JACK DANIEL’S DISTILLERY (Tennessee whiskey not bourbon) for a visit and a tasting. The distillery is in the heart of the beautiful village of Lynchburg and the village is an easy walk where you can grab some lunch and check out the quaint shops. After lunch (not provided) we will head off to the GEORGE DICKEL DISTILLERY (Tennessee whiskey not a bourbon) for a tour and tasting before we head back for our last night in Nashville.

Day 9: Nashville – Memphis Today we drive across Tennessee and head to Memphis, “Home of the Blues and a city with a distinct Southern flavour.

Day 10: Memphis A trip to Memphis would not be complete without visiting GRACELAND, the home of “The King”. This morning we head out of town and take a tour of Graceland and through the Elvis Presley museum. A remarkable and moving experience and a true highlight. Your entrance is included. The afternoon is free for you to explore downtown Memphis and this evening we head to a real treat, MARLOWE’S RIBS. Amazing glazed ribs and smoked chicken and you will definitely not leave hungry.

Day 11: Memphis This morning we say our goodbye’s after breakfast as you make you way home or to another exciting US destination. Transfer to the airport can be arranged at an additional cost.
